TEHRAN (Dunya News) - Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf has said that US measures aimed at restricting Iran’s oil sales have only resulted in an increase in global oil prices.
In a statement posted on the social media platform X, Ghalibaf said that despite US actions, the situation has not deteriorated to the point where Iran’s oil reserves have reached full capacity. He added that only global oil prices have been affected.
He further remarked that three days had passed and no oil well had been destroyed, adding that Iran could sustain production for up to 30 days and even broadcast live from oil wells.

The Iranian Speaker also criticized US officials, including Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, accusing them of relying on incorrect and baseless advice regarding pressure policies on Iran.
He stated that those promoting the blockade theory had already pushed oil prices up to $120 per barrel and warned they could rise to $140. According to him, the real issue lies not in the theory itself but in the mindset behind it.
