RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - Doctors from Al-Shifa Eye Trust and PIMS Hospital reached Adiala Jail to examine the affected eye of Bushra Bibi, wife of PTI founder Imran Khan.
According to sources, Dr Nadeem Qureshi from Al-Shifa Eye Trust arrived at the jail, while Dr Arif from PIMS Hospital also reached the facility carrying equipment for the eye examination.
Jail sources said Bushra Bibi underwent surgery on her right eye at Al-Shifa Eye Trust Hospital on April 17 after she was diagnosed with retinal detachment.
Meanwhile, PIMS Hospital administration issued a press release regarding the PTI founder’s eye treatment.
According to PIMS officials, Imran Khan was brought to the hospital on April 28 for follow-up treatment of his eyes, where he was administered the fourth dose of an anti-VEGF intravitreal injection.
Separately, Bushra Bibi’s family members arrived at Factory Naka to meet her, including her sister-in-law Mehr-un-Nisa Ahmed and daughter Mehr-un-Nisa Maneka.
Police stopped them at Factory Naka and said they would be sent to Adiala Jail after permission was granted.
