ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Climate Change Dr Musadik Malik on Monday said that the government is providing relief to low-income groups by giving a petroleum subsidy to motorcyclists and rickshaw drivers.

Talking to a private television channel, Musadik Malik said that people are also availing free bus service in the major cities due to special measures taken by the federal government.

In reply to a question, he said, there has been no disruption in the petroleum supply chain, and the credit for this goes to the Ministry of Petroleum.

Commenting on the US-Iran conflict, he said Pakistan’s leadership has made sincere efforts to facilitate dialogue and desires peace in the region. “The war between the two countries is hurting the global economy and hindering development,” he added.

The minister said all-out efforts are being made to improve the country’s economy and boost exports.
