ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has described his visit to Pakistan as very productive.
In his statement on the social media platform X regarding his visit to Pakistan, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Pakistan's fraternal efforts are valuable for peace in the region.
Abbas Araghchi said that Iran presented a workable framework for a permanent end to the war in meetings with Pakistan.
The Iranian foreign minister made his position clear on ending the ongoing war on Iran and said that it remains to be seen whether the United States is truly serious about diplomacy.
Abbas Araghchi said that Iran attaches importance to the diplomatic path for lasting peace in the region, adding Iran appreciated Pakistan's peace efforts, and consultations are underway to end tensions in the region.
The Iranian foreign minister will visit Moscow after Muscat, the capital of Oman, where meetings with Russian officials are expected.

Senior Pakistani officials, along with Iran’s ambassador and embassy representatives, were present at the airport to see off the visiting delegation.
Earlier in the day, Araghchi held an extended meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House. The meeting, which lasted approximately two hours, was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir, along with other senior officials.
In a statement following the meeting, PM Shehbaz said he was pleased to meet the Iranian delegation in Islamabad. He noted that discussions were held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, with a detailed exchange of views on the evolving regional situation.
Both sides also reviewed bilateral relations and discussed matters of mutual interest, with an emphasis on further strengthening cooperation between Pakistan and Iran across various sectors.
