LODHRAN (Dunya News) - Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Friday said that his party will continue to fight for the rights of the people.
He stated this while talking to reporters in Lodhran. Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that local government elections are a constitutional and legal matter, and his party will give its opinion after the provincial government makes a decision.
Fazlur Rehman said that the current global situation has created uncertainty and instability across the world. He added that Pakistan must ensure the supremacy of the Constitution and the rule of law in all matters adding that the dominance of a single institution cannot resolve all issues.
He said that his party has always stood with the people and will continue to do so in the future. He said that the JUI-F postponed protests against inflation across the country due to ongoing diplomatic activities in Islamabad.
Fazlur Rehman said they want parliamentary supremacy, adding that JUI-F will never leave the people alone. He also spoke about provincial autonomy, stating that law and order is purely a provincial matter.
Earlier, Maulana Fazlur Rehman visited the residence of JUI-F local leader Mian Muhammad in Lodhran to condole his demise. He expressed his sympathies to the family members of the late Mian Muhammad and prayed for the elevation of the deceased’s ranks and for patience and strength for his family.
