LAHORE (Dunya News) - A six-year-old girl died after allegedly consuming poisoned shawarma in Lahore, authorities said.
According to sources, the tragic incident occurred in Basti Amin Pura, where the minor reportedly died on the spot after eating the food. Two other family members, identified as Gulnaz and Zeeshan, also fell seriously ill and were shifted to Jinnah Hospital for treatment.
Police said the family has accused a brother-in-law, identified as Sher Zaman, of mixing poison in the shawarma. A case has been registered against the suspect on the complaint of the victim’s father.
Investigators stated that a probe is underway from all angles and the facts will be established soon.
