CM Balochistan inaugurates first women's market in Gwadar

Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that women’s empowerment is a top priority of the provincial government.

QUETTA (Dunya News) – Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has inaugurated the first-ever women’s market, Gwadar Women Bazaar, in the coastal city of Gwadar.

According to officials, the market currently consists of 14 shops, aimed at creating employment opportunities for local women and promoting small-scale entrepreneurship. During his visit, the chief minister met with women shopkeepers, listened to their concerns, and gathered feedback on challenges they face.

Speaking on the occasion, Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that women’s empowerment is a top priority of the provincial government. He noted that initiatives like the Gwadar Women Bazaar would contribute to economic growth by providing women with a platform to showcase their skills and run businesses independently.

He further stated that the government is committed to creating a supportive environment for women entrepreneurs and plans to expand similar projects across the province. According to him, sustainable development is not possible without the active economic participation of women.

Bugti added that such initiatives in Gwadar would help promote social and economic stability, ensuring better opportunities and a brighter future for women in the region.
