LAHORE (Dunya News) - Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has adopted a firm stance on Indian provocations and Kashmir, reaffirming resolve to counter hostile intentions.
During a ceremony attended by overseas Pakistanis on April 16, 2025, he described Pakistan’s defence as impregnable and reiterated commitment to thwart any hostile designs.
The army chief emphasized that any unprovoked aggression would be met with an immediate and decisive response, stating that despite its resources, the Indian military cannot defeat Pakistan.
He assured unwavering support for the people of Kashmir and stated that Pakistan’s position on Kashmir remains clear, calling it the country’s vital interest.

In his address, he said that the people of occupied Kashmir are continuing their struggle and are not alone, adding that Pakistan’s armed forces and security institutions will continue efforts until threats are fully addressed.
According to analysts, the remarks reflect a comprehensive defence outlook aimed at reinforcing deterrence and national security, while highlighting confidence in Pakistan’s defensive capabilities.
