BAHAWALNAGAR (Dunya News) – A suspected robber was killed whereas his accomplice managed to escape during an exchange of fire with police in Sadar Police jurisdiction here on Thursday.
The alleged burglar was identified as Inayat. He was wanted by police in many cases of robbery and looting.
He and his accomplice opened fire at a police party when they were asked to stop at a barricade. Police retaliated against them and returned their fire. As a result of this exchange of fire, Inayat was killed before being shifted to hospital.
Police cordoned off the area to arrest the fleeing robber. Cash and arms have been seized from the dead dacoit. Further investigation was underway.
