TEHRAN (Dunya News) – In a strong response to remarks by US President Donald Trump, Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf has underscored national unity and reiterated the country’s commitment to its leadership and revolutionary ideals.
In a tweet, Qalibaf dismissed any notion of internal political divisions within Iran, asserting that the country does not recognise the labels of “extremist” or “moderate”. He stated that all citizens stand as Iranians and revolutionaries, presenting a unified national identity in the face of external pressure.

Qalibaf’s response focused on projecting cohesion within the country’s political and social framework, framing unity as a defining strength of the nation.
The Speaker further emphasised that both the Iranian people and the government remain aligned in what he described as “iron unity”, highlighting their adherence to the guidance of the Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei. This unity, he said, forms the foundation of Iran’s resistance against external threats and challenges.
Qalibaf also issued a warning directed at what he described as an “aggressive offender”, stating that such actions would ultimately lead to regret. While not elaborating on specific measures, the tone of the statement suggested a readiness to respond firmly to any perceived provocation.
Expanding on the country’s ideological stance, the Iranian parliamentary leader outlined what he called the national narrative, built on the principles of one God, one leader, one nation and a singular path. He described this framework as central to Iran’s identity and future direction, portraying it as a guiding force that shapes both domestic policy and international posture.
According to Qalibaf, this path is closely tied to what he termed Iran’s victory, a concept he indicated holds profound significance for the nation and its people. He added that this vision is valued above all else, reflecting the depth of commitment within the country’s leadership and society.
