ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held a significant meeting with US Charge d'Affaires to Pakistan Natalie Baker, during which both officials exchanged detailed views on the latest regional developments.
The discussion also touched on diplomatic efforts to hold a second round of negotiations between the US and Iran in Islamabad.
Minister Naqvi expressed appreciation for US President Donald Trump’s recent decision to extend the ceasefire, calling it an important step toward reducing tensions.
Emphasizing the need for continuous diplomatic engagement to achieve a lasting resolution, Naqvi also voiced hope for positive progress from Iran.
He highlighted that Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal General Asim Munir are actively working at all levels to resolve the issue, urging all parties to support peaceful diplomatic solutions.
