LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Punjab Home Department has introduced a modern digital system for the registration of security companies and guards across the province, aiming to strengthen oversight and transparency.
According to officials, the new system is being integrated with the Punjab Safe Cities Authority, enabling centralised monitoring. All security companies have been directed to complete their registration through a dedicated safety application.
Under the system, detailed profiles of security guards — including qualifications, personal data and verification records — will be maintained in a central database. The Punjab Police will also upload criminal records of guards onto the same platform.
Authorities say the initiative is designed to modernise the province’s security framework and improve monitoring mechanisms. Officials believe the digital integration will enhance transparency and help ensure better law enforcement coordination.
The Home Department has warned that strict action will be taken against unregistered security companies and guards. Data sharing with the Safe Cities Authority has also been made mandatory for all relevant stakeholders.
