LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Punjab government has taken a major decision regarding the salaries of public sector employees, directing that wages be disbursed on 30 April.
According to reports, the provincial administration has also ordered that pensions be paid on the same date to ensure timely financial support for retirees.
The decision has been made in view of upcoming public holidays from 1 May to 3 May, allowing both employees and pensioners to receive their payments in advance without disruption.
In this regard, the provincial Finance Department has issued formal instructions to accounts officers across the province to implement the directive accordingly.
