KARACHI (Dunya News) - The closure of Pakistan’s airspace for Indian flights has entered its second year, as the restriction has been further extended.

Pakistan Airports Authority has issued a fresh NOTAM extending the ban on Indian aviation operations. According to the notice, Indian-registered, leased, commercial, and military aircraft will not be allowed to enter Pakistani airspace for another month.

The NOTAM states that the restriction will remain in place until 5:00 am on May 24, 2026.

It is worth noting that Pakistan had originally closed its airspace for Indian aircraft on April 23, 2025. The continued closure has reportedly caused billions of rupees in losses to Indian airlines.
