BEIRUT (Dunya News) - Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon’s eastern Beqaa Valley have caused severe damage to civilian areas, according to Arab media reports.

The reports say Israeli aircraft targeted residential houses, leaving children’s bodies lying on the streets. Several residents stated they found children’s bodies scattered on the roads. A woman was reportedly inside her home with her son and daughter when the building was struck.

It is further reported that the children’s father is already under treatment in a hospital in critical condition. According to the mayor of Sohmor town, Sikandar Barakah, more than 140 houses have either been destroyed or damaged in the attacks.

He added that most residents have returned but remain deeply concerned about the situation and are waiting for the outcome of ongoing talks, while stressing the need for unity within Lebanon.

In the town of Mashghara, residential homes were also targeted. Affected resident Mahmood Ibrahim said he had just parked his car near his house and gone inside when a powerful explosion occurred, destroying windows, glass, and household items.

According to reports, the total death toll in Lebanon since the start of the war has risen to 2,387, while 7,602 people have been injured.
