Federal govt seeks Punjab report on URAAN Pakistan progress, asking data on exports, energy, environment, economic equality and 2026-27 plan with clear performance evaluation criteria.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - The federal government has written a letter to Punjab Chief Secretary Zahid Zaman seeking a detailed report on the “URAAN Pakistan” initiative.

In the letter, progress reports on the targets assigned to provinces under URAAN Pakistan have been requested.

Details on implementation regarding exports, energy, environment, and economic equality have also been sought.

The letter directs Punjab to submit a performance report on its economic targets to the federal government and instructs that progress across all major sectors under URAAN Pakistan be included in a single consolidated report.

Furthermore, complete provincial data for the Annual Plan 2026–27 has also been demanded, while the federal government has asked for a detailed report on measures taken for economic development.

Punjab has been instructed to include steps related to exports, energy, and environment in the report, while measures concerning economic equality and public facilities have also been made part of the reporting requirements.

The federal government has asked that development strategy and results under URAAN Pakistan be compiled in a single document, and clear parameters have been set to assess Punjab’s performance.

It has further been stated that provincial development performance has been given central importance in the annual plan, and accountability for the completion of tasks under URAAN Pakistan has also been sought.
