US-Iran talks: FCC, IHC to remain close today

According to the notification, due to the closure of the Red Zone, no judicial proceedings will take place in the Federal Constitutional Court

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Federal Constitutional Court (FCC) and Islamabad High Court (IHC) will remain closed today (Monday) in the wake of the second round of US-Iran talks expected to be held in Islamabad.

No judicial work will be conducted at the Islamabad High Court. According to the Registrar’s Office, District and Sessions Courts will continue to function as usual.

The Federal Constitutional Court in Islamabad will also remain closed, and a notification has been issued in this regard.

According to the notification, due to the closure of the Red Zone, no judicial proceedings will take place in the Federal Constitutional Court. The Chief Justice of the Federal Constitutional Court has cancelled today’s cause list, citing difficulties faced by lawyers, litigants, and staff.

Judicial officers and staff have been directed to work from home, and leaving the station has been restricted. The main bench in Islamabad will remain closed, while all four branch registries will remain open. The notification has been issued with the approval of the Chief Justice of the Federal Constitutional Court.
