ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Sunday held a telephonic conversation with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi, focusing on evolving regional developments and ongoing diplomatic efforts in the Middle East.

According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office of Pakistan, the two leaders exchanged views on the latest phase of Iran-US negotiations and the broader regional situation, with particular emphasis on maintaining stability in an increasingly volatile environment.

The discussion comes at a time when tensions in the Middle East continue to shape diplomatic priorities across the region. Both sides underscored the importance of addressing immediate challenges through dialogue and sustained diplomatic channels, highlighting the need for coordinated efforts to prevent escalation.

During the conversation, Dar reiterated Pakistan’s consistent position advocating diplomatic solutions to complex geopolitical issues. He emphasised that constructive engagement and continued communication remain essential tools in resolving disputes and ensuring long-term peace.

The two foreign ministers also agreed on the necessity of maintaining close contact in the coming weeks, signalling a shared commitment to ongoing consultation. The exchange reflects a broader pattern of frequent high-level engagement between Islamabad and Tehran in recent months, particularly in light of shifting regional dynamics.
