QUETTA (Dunya News) - Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti on Saturday met with the participants of the 55th training course of the Pakistan Naval War College.

The CM paid tribute to civil and military leadership for their role in promoting peace in the region.

Sarfraz Bugti added that joint steps by civil and military leadership are essential for lasting peace in Balochistan.

“Including youth in the national mainstream is the need of the hour. Youth are the focus of state policies. The perception of violence due to unbalanced development in Balochistan is wrong.

Anti-Pakistan elements sitting abroad are active through social media. The Balochistan government has taken up the fight against terrorism. It is providing Rs40billion to enhance the capacity of the Balochistan Police,” the CM said.

Sarfraz Bugti added that an additional ten billion rupees are being provided to the CTD, merit and dialogue are being promoted at all levels to bridge the gap between the youth and the state.

Youth are being heard at every university and forum, while the first youth policy has also been introduced in Balochistan, Bugti added.

The CM said: “The youth of Balochistan who have grievances with the government will be embraced, there will be no concessions to those who take up arms against the state and resort to violence, effective strategies, meritocracy and dialogue with the youth will be maintained, every conspiracy to destabilise the state will fail.”
