Zilqad month begins as crescent moon sighted in country

Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad announced sighting of the crescent moon

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad has announced sighting of Zilqad moon after receiving evidence of moon sighting from different parts of the country.

With the sighting of the moon, the first Zilqad starts on Sunday (today). It should be noted that according to Suparco, the new moon was born on April 17 at 4:52pm and the chances of sighting it on the evening of April 18 were very bright.

Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, while talking to the media, said that the weather was clear in some parts of the country and cloudy in others. Witnesses to the moon sighting were received from different parts of the country.

He prayed Allah may protect Pakistan from internal and external threats. He paid tribute to the efforts of Field Marshal Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for peace in the region. The country's top leadership has made Pakistan proud, he added.
