The visit forms part of sustained mediation efforts in the US-Iran dialogue process, with Pakistan acting as a key intermediary in ongoing message exchanges between Washington and Tehran.

According to diplomatic sources, the development comes amid expectations that Islamabad may host a second round of talks between the two sides at the end of next week, with federal authorities already directing relevant departments to ensure logistical and security readiness for the anticipated high-level engagement.

During the Islamabad-hosted talks, discussions reportedly focused on key demands including a comprehensive end to hostilities, lifting of sanctions on Iran, and compensation related to damages attributed to US-Israeli actions in the country.

Iranian officials confirmed that communication channels have remained active since the delegations returned, with Pakistan continuing to facilitate exchanges as part of its mediation role.
