(Web Desk) - WhatsApp is introducing a new security feature aimed at strengthening user privacy and account protection.
According to a report, the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android devices includes a feature that gives users greater control over their account privacy settings.
This feature is still under development and will allow users to monitor all linked devices in real time.
Currently, users have to manually check the “Linked Devices” section to see where their WhatsApp account is active. However, the new feature will include an alert system that notifies users whenever a linked device is being used simultaneously with the primary phone.
In simple terms, if you are at home and your WhatsApp account becomes active on another device elsewhere, you will receive an immediate notification.
The notification system will only activate when a secondary linked device is in use at the same time as the primary device. Users will also have the option to enable or disable these alerts according to their preference.
At present, the feature is being tested in the beta version, and it is not yet clear when it will be rolled out to all users.
