(Web Desk) - Authorities in Israel have issued urgent safety warnings after tens of thousands of bees unexpectedly swarmed several urban areas across the occupied territories.
Residents and business owners have been instructed to keep doors and windows shut as a precaution. Videos shared on social media show large, dense clusters of bees surrounding buildings, cars, and shop entrances.
The swarms have been reported in multiple locations, including regions around Tel Aviv, where locals described loud buzzing noises and temporary closures of cafés and retail outlets for safety reasons.
Emergency responders and local authorities have urged the public not to interfere with the swarms. Instead, professional beekeepers and environmental teams have been deployed to safely relocate the colonies rather than destroy them.
Some users on X suggested that recent temperature changes and favorable spring conditions may have contributed to increased hive activity, resulting in unusually large swarms.
As a precaution, many shopkeepers have closed their businesses, and some schools and offices in heavily affected areas have restricted outdoor activities until the situation is under control.
