KARACHI (Dunya News) - Head of the United Business Group (UBG), SM Tanveer, has said that creating smaller provinces or administrative units is essential to address Pakistan’s economic challenges.
Speaking to media in Karachi, he stated that economic stability cannot be achieved without forming new provinces. He added that large provinces have the capacity to be divided into smaller units for better governance and development.
Tanveer said the Eid Milan gathering held after three years aimed to keep alive the traditions of the late SM Muneer. He emphasized that the group continues to advocate for economic autonomy at the divisional level.
The UBG patron-in-chief noted that establishing new industries requires sustained effort across generations, stressing that the government must take the issue seriously.
He further claimed that Pakistan is currently considered one of the safest countries in the world and credited the leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir and the prime minister for strengthening the country’s position.
