MARDAN (Dunya News) - Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Sunday said that Israel is an ‘illegitimate state’ and its existence cannot be accepted.
Addressing a public gathering in Mardan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Maulana Fazlur Rehman stated that it is a welcome sign that global powers gathered in Islamabad for seeking regional peace.
He said that the United States and Iran held negotiations to find peace for the world while sitting on Pakistan’s soil, adding that the role Pakistan has played is something they had been seeking for 78 years.
The JUI-F chief said that Pakistan can lead the Islamic world by showing courage and self-confidence. He added that the opposition parties postponed protests due to the arrival of foreign guests.
Fazlur Rehman said that they believe in honoring guests in Pakistan, but the government has placed the burden of inflation on the public under international pressure, and decisions against the poor should be reversed.
He further said that Pakistan is the homeland of 250 million Muslims and has the ability to lead the Muslim Ummah. For 78 years, Pakistan has remained under global influence, and their stance is for true freedom, sovereignty, and national self-confidence.
The JUI-F chief stated that Israel is an illegitimate state and its existence cannot be accepted. He added that the end of Israel is the desire of oppressed Palestinians and the Muslim Ummah, and that the alliance between Narendra Modi and Israel poses threats to the region.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman demanded that the rulers are not upholding their oath, saying that Pakistan should be governed according to its constitution.
