20 killed, several injured as rains wreak havoc in Balochistan: PDMA

QUETTA (Dunya News) - At least 20 people have lost their lives and several others were injured as heavy rains caused widespread destruction across Balochistan, according to a report released by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority.

The report stated that the death toll has reached 20 since March 20, including 13 children and 7 men. Meanwhile, 17 individuals were injured in rain-related incidents, among them 11 children, 4 women, and 2 men.

Authorities also reported significant damage to infrastructure and livestock. Around 65 livestock animals perished, while 167 houses were affected due to flooding. Of these, 35 homes were completely destroyed, and 132 sustained partial damage.

Relief operations are currently underway in the affected areas, with efforts being made to provide assistance and support to the victims.

Officials have urged residents to remain cautious as weather conditions may continue to pose risks in vulnerable regions.
