Gold prices rebound in Pakistan after one-day decline

Updated on:

The price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs2,572, settling at Rs426,664.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Gold prices in Pakistan surge again on Friday, after witnessing a sharp decline a day earlier.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold per tola rose by Rs3,000, reaching Rs497,662 in the local market.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs2,572, settling at Rs426,664.

In the global market, gold prices also saw an upward trend, rising by $30 to reach $4,753 per ounce, which contributed to the increase in domestic rates.

The rise comes a day after a significant drop in gold prices across the country. On Thursday, the price of gold per tola had fallen by Rs9,500, while the rate for 10 grams declined by Rs8,145.

Market analysts attribute the fluctuation in local gold prices to changes in international rates and currency exchange dynamics. The latest increase may impact buying trends in the domestic market, especially among investors and consumers planning purchases.
