ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa has conveyed his deep appreciation to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Pakistan's success in bringing about a ceasefire between Iran and the United States.
In a telephonic conversation, the King of Bahrain acknowledged that the ceasefire has created the prospects for lasting peace in the region.
While thanking the King of Bahrain for supporting Pakistan's peace efforts, the prime minister appreciated the exemplary restraint demonstrated by the Bahraini leadership in the wake of attacks over the past six weeks.
Shehbaz Sharif also offered condolences over the loss of precious lives in Bahrain, during the recent hostilities and prayed for swift recovery of the injured.
Both leaders agreed to continue working together for regional peace and stability.

Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron called Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and congratulated him on Pakistan's mediation efforts that resulted in a ceasefire between Iran and the United States.
During their warm and cordial conversation, the French President acknowledged Pakistan's role in bringing both sides to the negotiating table.
President Emmanuel Macron conveyed his good wishes to the prime minister for the success of the upcoming peace talks in Islamabad.
While thanking the French President for supporting Pakistan's diplomatic efforts, the prime minister reaffirmed that Pakistan would continue to strive for peace and stability in the region.
Both leaders also expressed serious concern over the ongoing aggression in Lebanon and stressed the urgent need to end the violence and killings so that peace could be re-established across the region.
