ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Metro Bus service in Islamabad and Rawalpindi t has been partially suspended due to arrival of the foreign delegations in the federal capital head of the US-Iran talks.
Authorities reported that the Metro Bus will operate only between the Saddar Station and PIMS, while the stretch from PIMS to Pak Secretariat will remain closed. The service limitation is in accordance with instructions from the district administration.
A special traffic plan has also been implemented. Motorists traveling from GT Road Peshawar to Rawalpindi are advised to use the Taxila Motorway, Chakri-Chak Beli Road, or Rawat routes, while travelers from Lahore to Peshawar should take Rawat, Chak Beli Road, or Taxila Motorway.
Traffic police directed those traveling from Margalla Road to Rawalpindi to use Ninth Avenue, and commuters from Rawalpindi to Islamabad to access Ninth Avenue via Murree Road.
Traffic from Faisal Avenue to Zero Point will be redirected to Ninth Avenue, and the expressway from Zero Point to Coral Chowk will remain closed in both directions.
Additionally, all heavy vehicles are banned from entering Islamabad today and tomorrow.
