Pakistani rupee strengthens; interbank dollar rate declines

Updated on:

The Pakistani rupee gained value on the interbank market as the US dollar fell by 3 paisa, closing at Rs279.42 against Rs279.45 the previous day.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - The Pakistani rupee strengthened further in the interbank market on Wednesday, as the US dollar saw a slight decline.

Trading reports indicated that the dollar dropped by 3 paisa compared to the previous day, closing at Rs279.42. On Tuesday, the interbank rate for the dollar had closed at Rs279.45.

Analysts attributed the minor appreciation of the rupee to market corrections and improved liquidity conditions in the local forex market, reflecting stabilising trends amid ongoing economic developments.
