Bilawal Bhutto meets CM Maryam at Parliament House

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz at Parliament House on Monday.

During the meeting, Bilawal congratulated Maryam Nawaz on the wedding of her son.

The two leaders also briefly discussed the overall security situation, including recent Israeli and US attacks on Iran and reported aggression along the Afghanistan border.

Earlier, CM Maryam Nawaz ordered enhanced surveillance and the continuation of combing operations across the province amid prevailing security concerns.

She chaired a high-level meeting on law and order where officials briefed participants on the overall security situation.

According to sources, strict monitoring was directed for individuals listed under the Fourth Schedule as well as other active elements.

In the context of the Israel-Iran conflict, the chief minister instructed authorities to further increase surveillance and place the province on high alert.

She directed that security be tightened at shopping malls, major markets, and other public places.

Police and district administrations in all districts have been ordered to remain vigilant, with strict monitoring of suspicious individuals.

It was also decided to make checking at entry and exit points more effective.

Maryam Nawaz ordered the deployment of additional personnel at key commercial centers and directed that search and combing operations in sensitive areas be intensified.
