LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Punjab School Education Department has issued orders for the recruitment of School Teacher Interns (STIs) across the province.
The Director of Public Instruction (Elementary Education) has sent a formal letter to all Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of Education, directing them to issue appointment orders to selected candidates from February 24 to May 31, 2026.
According to the letter, appointments under the School Teacher Internship Programme 2024 will be made strictly on merit, in accordance with the law and approved policy. Authorities have been instructed to expedite the recruitment process.
Districts have been directed to submit district-wise and school-wise data within three days. Providing category-wise details of both ongoing and new recruitments has been declared mandatory.
The correspondence further states that the required data must be sent to the Directorate in both soft and hard copies. Divisional Directors have been instructed to ensure timely completion of the recruitment process.
The letter emphasises that the directives of the School Education Department must be implemented immediately.
