CAIRO (Dunya News) – Pakistan secured a 5-3 victory over Malaysia in the second match of the FIH Men’s World Cup Qualifier, advancing to the semifinals.
Goals for Pakistan came from Rana Waheed Ashraf, Zakaria Hyat, Ahmed Nadeem, Muhammad Sofyan Khan, and Muhammad Ammar, each contributing one goal. Malaysia’s goals were scored by Abdul Rauf, Ahkam Ullah, and Fatri Sari.
Pakistan Hockey Federation President Mohiuddin Wani, along with Ad-Hoc Governance and Management Chairmen Olympians Islahuddin Siddiqui and Hasan Sardar, and Chief Selector Samiullah Khan, congratulated the national team on their impressive performance in the qualifier round.
The victory boosts Pakistan’s hopes of advancing further in the tournament and strengthens the team’s morale ahead of the semifinals.
