OGRA reduces LPG prices by Rs2.52 for March

Updated on:

OGRA has reduced LPG prices by Rs2.52 per kilogram for March, setting the new rate at Rs213.88 per kg and lowering domestic cylinder costs.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a reduction in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices for the month of March.

According to the official notification issued by the regulator, the price of LPG has been decreased by Rs2.52 per kilogram. Following the cut, the new price has been fixed at Rs213.88 per kilogram.

As a result of the revised rate, the price of an 11.8-kilogram domestic LPG cylinder has been set at Rs2,664. In February, the same cylinder was priced at Rs2,667.

OGRA’s notification formally outlines the revised prices, which will take effect immediately for the month of March.

The adjustment comes amid ongoing concerns over regional tensions and supply chain stability in the energy sector.

However, the modest reduction is expected to provide some relief to domestic consumers who rely on LPG for cooking and heating purposes, particularly in areas not connected to the natural gas network.

Market analysts noted that LPG prices are influenced by international market trends, import costs, and currency fluctuations, in addition to domestic supply conditions.

Consumers and industry stakeholders will closely monitor further developments in the energy market, especially in light of evolving global circumstances that could impact fuel pricing in the coming weeks.
