Pakistan, Iraq agree to advance regional peace, stability

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Sunday spoke with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Iraq, Fuad Hussein.

They discussed the rapidly evolving regional situation and stressed the need for sustained efforts to contain tensions, promote de-escalation, and advance peace and stability in the region. Both agreed to stay in close contact.

PAKISTAN, OMAN VOICE CONCERN OVER ESCALATION IN REGION

Earlier in the say, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation with Oman’s Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi.

They expressed serious concern over the ongoing escalation in the region and underscored the urgent need for restraint, dialogue, and de-escalation to preserve peace and stability.

Both the leaders agreed to remain in close contact over the evolving situation.
