Pakistan says 415 Afghan Taliban killed in retaliatory 'Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq'

Information Minister Atta Tarar said 415 Afghan Taliban were killed and 580 injured as Pakistan destroyed checkpoints, tanks and targeted 46 sites in Afghanistan.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar said Pakistan’s retaliatory military campaign in Afghanistan has resulted in heavy losses for Afghan Taliban fighters.

In a statement posted on X regarding Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq, Tarar said that 415 Afghan Taliban had been killed and 580 others injured so far during the ongoing action.

He claimed that 182 Taliban check posts were completely destroyed, while 31 others were captured by Pakistani forces. In addition, 115 tanks, armored vehicles and artillery guns were “fully destroyed” during the operation.

According to the minister, Pakistani forces also carried out effective airstrikes on 46 locations inside Afghanistan, targeting militant positions.

The statement did not provide independent verification of the figures, and there was no immediate response from Afghan authorities regarding the claims.
