ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said he is prepared to join citizens in protesting against the recent attacks on Iran, while urging demonstrators to remain peaceful.

Speaking during a meeting with Shia scholars in Islamabad, Naqvi said every Pakistani was saddened by the strikes on Iran and the reported assassination of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

He stated that the government stands firmly with the people and religious leadership, adding that he was personally ready to participate in protests against the attacks. “We are united, and hostile forces are attempting to divide us,” he said.

The interior minister emphasized that any protest should be carried out while keeping national interests in view. He noted that religious scholars have historically guided the nation during challenging times and urged them to play a constructive role once again.

Naqvi further appealed to demonstrators to exercise patience and ensure that protests remain peaceful. He called upon religious leaders to counsel participants against violence and help maintain law and order.
