RIYADH (AFP) - Correspondents and residents in Riyadh heard loud explosions in the east of the Saudi capital, as Iran presses on with a second day of retaliatory strikes across the Gulf, AFP reports.
Residents in eastern Riyadh told AFP they heard several loud bangs and saw smoke rising, with correspondents also hearing the explosions.
Israel and US launched attacks against Iran on Saturday, pushing the Middle East into a renewed military confrontation and further dimming hopes for a diplomatic solution to Tehran’s long-running nuclear dispute with the West.
