KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi says every inch of Pakistan will be defended, condemns border provocations, orders administration on alert, prioritises protection of border communities.

PESHAWAR (Web Desk) - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has said that protecting every inch of Pakistan is a national duty amid the evolving situation along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

In a statement addressing the recent tensions on the Pak-Afghan border, he described the situation as concerning and said it is being closely monitored. He asserted that no compromise would be allowed on the security of border areas.

Sohail Afridi strongly condemned any form of provocation or external aggression along the border, stating that there would be no compromise on national security. He added that the provincial government remains in constant contact with relevant institutions in light of the ongoing tensions.

The chief minister said the protection of people living in border regions is the government’s top priority, and necessary measures are being taken to ensure their safety. He acknowledged public concerns arising from the situation and assured that residents of border areas would not be left alone under any circumstances.

He also directed the administration to remain on alert to deal with any emergency situation, emphasizing that responsible conduct is essential for maintaining peace and stability.
