ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday granted bail to Imaan Mazari, daughter of former federal minister Shireen Mazari, and her husband Hadi Ali Chatha in two separate cases related to brawl outside the Islamabad High Court (IHC) and protest outside the press club. .
The court approved the bail against surety bonds of Rs5,000 for each case.
In the case concerning the brawl outside IHC, the complainant, Wajid Gilani had earlier submitted an affidavit to the court.
However, bail has not yet been granted in the controversial tweets case involving Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chatha.
The case’s appeal for suspension of the sentence has not been scheduled for a hearing in the high court.
Meanwhile, IHC’s Justice Muhammad Asif heard a petition seeking the suspension of the sentence for Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chatha in the controversial tweets case.
The petitioners, including lawyers from the Islamabad bar, urged the court to schedule a hearing before Eidul Fitr.
Justice Asif remarked that the case would be heard according to the policy and that hearing dates would be provided once the trial was concluded.
