Punjab intensifies evacuation of illegal foreign nationals

Punjab Police has deported 32,588 illegal foreign nationals, including 12,273 men, 6,661 women, and 13,654 children. IGP Abdul Karim emphasized high security and adherence to international laws.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Amid security situation along the Pak-Afghan border, the Punjab Police have intensified efforts to evacuate illegal foreign nationals residing in the province.

A total of 32,588 Afghan nationals, along with other illegal foreign residents, have been deported from Punjab, including Lahore.

The deportation process has seen the removal of 12,273 men, 6,661 women, and 13,654 children. The spokesperson also stated that 90 illegal residents are currently being held at holding points.

Among those deported, 10,419 had residential proof, while 11,098 held Afghan Citizen Cards, and 11,071 were illegal foreign nationals without proper documentation.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Abdul Karim emphasized that the province remains on high security alert, with all illegal residents being urged to leave.

He further clarified that the Punjab Police is adhering to international laws in implementing its deportation policy.
