LAHORE (Web Desk) -A public dispute between a social media influencer doctor and her husband has intensified after the husband issued a video statement rejecting allegations made by his wife regarding their troubled marriage.
In his statement, the husband claimed that his wife suffers from excessive suspicion and mistrust, which he described as having “no treatment”. He maintained that there had been no serious conflict between them and asserted that she was happy living with him and his family.
According to him, tensions began after he launched a new business venture. He alleged that his wife insisted on accompanying him everywhere he went. He said it was not appropriate to bring a spouse along to professional meetings, social gatherings with friends, or routine work-related engagements.
He further claimed that whenever he left home for work, his wife suspected he was going elsewhere for undisclosed reasons. He denied any wrongdoing, stating he had never been involved in illegal or immoral activity. He insisted that the core issue in their relationship was mistrust and negative thinking rather than any form of abuse or conflict.
The husband also denied allegations of physical violence or verbal abuse, saying there had been no fights, physical altercations or use of abusive language during their marriage. He said his priority was to work and support his family, adding that taking his wife everywhere was not practical.
The couple’s relationship had initially drawn public attention when they announced their engagement and marriage last year, surprising followers on social media. However, reports of marital discord surfaced within months of their wedding.
Recently, the doctor spoke during a television programme, revealing that her marriage was facing serious challenges. She said the relationship had not yet ended but warned that circumstances could lead to divorce.
She also alleged that if the marriage breaks down, her husband’s family would be responsible. She claimed her husband was influenced by his parents and treated her unfairly as a result.
The doctor questioned why the marriage was arranged if the family had preferred another match. She also said she had devoted herself to her marital home, cared for her mother-in-law and reduced her professional commitments in an effort to save the relationship.
The dispute continues to unfold publicly, with neither side indicating whether reconciliation efforts are ongoing.
