Pakistan made two changes to the squad as Khawaja Nafay and Salman Mirza back into the team in place of Abrar Ahmed and Shaheen Afridi.

Namibia have brought in 20-year old Jack Brassell for 17-year old Max Heingo.

Pakistan must win the match to proceed to the Super Eight stage. They will, however, move to the next stage if the match is washed out due to rain because they will get a point and move up the points table with five points to USA’s four.

India already qualified for the nex round as they have won all the three matches they have play so far.

According to sources, the Pakistan cricket team's management is disappointed with the recent performances of senior players.

Earlier, the national team had a rigorous three-hour training session in the morning.

The sky in Colombo is overcast and there is a prediction of thunderstorm in the evening.

Pakistan have defeated Namibia in T20 World Cup in 2021 in Abu Dhabi by 45 runs. They scored 189-2 and restrict Namibia to 144-5.
