NEW YORK (Dunya News) - Pakistan has maintained a firm, consistent, and unequivocal stance that the forced displacement of Palestinians is illegal under international law and unacceptable under any circumstances. The country has repeatedly condemned Israeli actions and rhetoric aimed at relocating Palestinians, particularly from Gaza and the West Bank.

Pakistan along with 85 other nation at the United Nations have condemned the Israel’s decision to classify large areas of land in the occupied West Bank as “state property”, calling the move illegal and a threat to the two-state solution.

Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Asim Iftikhar, said that the establishment of Jewish settlements is a violation of the UN Charter and international law, and that Pakistan rejects Israel’s decision to classify large areas of land in the occupied West Bank as “state property”.

He further stated that the Israeli action is tantamount to undermining peace efforts, and that Pakistan emphasizes a two-state solution for Palestine.
