QUETTA (Dunya News) - Balochsitan Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Tuesday said that the state cannot be destabilized through violence, adding that no concession would be made to those who take up arms against the state.
Addressing to officers who have completed training at Balochistan Civil Services Academy, Sarfraz Bugti said that the strength of state governance is linked to talented and ethical officers.
He stated that the responsibility of policy-making lies with the government, while officers are bound to implement it. The Chief Minister noted that there would be no compromise on discipline, saying that for the first time in history, action was taken against an officer under training.
He maintained that officers elected on the basis of merit should make the supremacy of merit and public service their motto.
He stated that corruption is the biggest obstacle to development and urged people to stay away from anti-state propaganda, and called for raising awareness among the public about loyalty to the state under Article 5 of the Constitution.
Sarfraz Bugti said that unbalanced development is not only a problem of Balochistan but of the entire country.
