Experts on astronomy said the Ramazan moon is likely to be sighted on the evening of February 18, 2026. With the 29th of Shaban coinciding with Wednesday, February 18, the first day of Ramadan is anticipated on Thursday, February 19.
According to calculations, the new moon for Ramazan will be born on February 17 at 5:01 PM. By sunset on February 18, the moon’s age will exceed 25 hours and 48 minutes. In coastal areas, the interval between sunset and moonset will be approximately 59 minutes, making the moon easily visible to the naked eye.
Weather conditions are expected to be clear or partly cloudy across most parts of the country, providing favorable circumstances for moon sighting.
