KARACHI (Dunya News) – Strong winds accompanied by rain and hailstorms struck multiple areas of Karachi on Tuesday, leading to water accumulation on key roads and disruption to traffic flow.
Following the rainfall, water collected on University Road near Samama Shopping Mall, slowing vehicle movement and creating difficulties for commuters.
Similarly, potholes on the road connecting University Road to Gulistan-e-Johar caused rainwater to accumulate, further complicating travel for residents. Authorities said drainage measures were being taken to clear standing water.
Light to heavy rainfall was recorded in Malir Halt, Rifah-e-Aam and surrounding localities, along with strong winds. Malir Cantt experienced heavy rain along with hail, while reports of hail were also received from parts of Gulistan-e-Johar.
Hailstorms were also reported in Scheme 33 and nearby areas during rainfall. Gulshan-e-Jamal and surrounding neighbourhoods also experienced rain and hail during the weather spell.
