LAHORE (Dunya News) – The first solar eclipse of 2026 will occur today (Tuesday), but it will not be visible in Pakistan.
This will be an annular solar eclipse, commonly known as the "Ring of Fire." During this event, the moon will pass directly in front of the Sun in its elliptical orbit but will not fully cover it.
Since the moon does not completely obscure the Sun, its outer part will remain visible, creating a bright, reddish ring.
The complete eclipse will be visible only in Antarctica, while countries in South America such as Chile and Argentina, along with some parts of South Africa, will witness a partial eclipse.
According to Pakistan Standard Time, the eclipse will begin at 2:56 pm, reach its peak at 5:12 pm, and end at 7:28 pm.
