ANF seizes over 50kg drugs in nationwide crackdown

ANF seized 50.1kg drugs including hashish, ice and weed in six operations across Pakistan, arresting suspects and registering cases under Narcotics Act 1997.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has recovered 50.1 kilograms of narcotics during six separate operations across the country, arresting several suspects involved in drug trafficking.

According to an ANF spokesperson, the operations were carried out in Lahore, Peshawar, Attock, Karachi, Mansehra and Gwadar as part of an ongoing nationwide crackdown against drug networks.

Officials confirmed that the seized contraband included 24.35 kilograms of hashish, 24.2 kilograms of crystal meth (ice), and 1.55 kilograms of weed. The coordinated raids targeted suspected traffickers operating in different regions.

Cases have been registered against the arrested individuals under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997, and further investigations are underway to trace broader networks linked to the recovered drugs.

Authorities reiterated their commitment to intensifying efforts against narcotics smuggling and ensuring strict enforcement of drug control laws.
