PMD predicts rain in parts of Punjab, KP, Balochistan

The PMD has forecast partly cloudy skies with isolated rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds in Balochistan, lower Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and southern Punjab during next 24 hours.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast partly cloudy skies with isolated rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds in Balochistan, lower Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and southern Punjab during next 24 hours.

Hailstorms may also occur at a few locations, while cold and dry weather is expected across most other parts of the country.

In the federal capital, Islamabad and surrounding areas will experience cold and dry conditions with partly cloudy skies.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is expected to remain mainly cold and dry, with very cold weather in the upper districts. Isolated rain and thunderstorms are possible in Waziristan, Tank, Dera Ismail Khan, Lakki Marwat, Karak, Parachinar, and nearby areas.

Most districts of Punjab will remain cold and dry, although southern and central districts including Dera Ghazi Khan, Bhakkar, Layyah, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Multan, Khanewal, and Sahiwal may see isolated rain and thunderstorms.

In Sindh, the weather will largely remain dry with partly cloudy skies, but isolated storms are expected in Dadu, Jamshoro, Larkana, Jacobabad, Karachi, Hyderabad, and surrounding areas.

Balochistan will experience cloudy conditions with intermittent rain, wind, and thunderstorms in Chaman, Quetta, Pishin, Muslim Bagh, Zhob, Ziarat, Barkhan, Sibbi, Kalat, Kech, Panjgur, Washuk, Kharan, Awaran, Lasbella, Khuzdar, Gwadar, and nearby areas. Hailstorms may occur at some locations. Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will see cold and partly cloudy weather, with isolated rain and thunderstorms in Kashmir.
